Data Management, Backup, & Recovery
Every business needs a Backup Disaster and Recovery plan. Failure to do so can result in lost data, higher insurance rates and severely hamper recovery from a ransomware incident. There is no one size fits all solution. We can help you determine what solution is right for you.
Onsite Backup
This is a very cost effective and reliable backup solution for ensuring fast file and folder recovery within an office. Cost can be as little as the hardware utilized.
Offsite Backup
Offsite backups are great for Disaster Recovery; fire, flood, tornado. They offer redundancy in an emergency and can be very cost effective. The offsite location can be a second office, a Managed Service Providers office or Cloud Storage.
Cloud Backup
Backing up to the Cloud is a moderate to costly way to move data offsite. Vendor costs vary widely depending on feature sets and sync options.
Cloud Services: Automated, Backup, & Recovery
Data loss happens in the cloud. Users delete data. Mostly accidentally, sometimes intentionally. And there is the ever-present threat of ransomware and other malware. You can store the data in your office or the cloud,
Google G Suite Backup
Our Backup for G Suite is designed to protect the entire G Suite domain account which includes each user’s Gmail, Drives, Contacts, and Calendars. You can back up the entire domain which includes all users Gmail, Drive, Contacts, and Calendar or backup only selected Gmail accounts of selected users.
You can backup up the inbox, sent items, and other custom labels from Gmail. All documents from Google Drive like photos, pdf, text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms etc. can be backed up.
Microsoft O365 & OneDrive
Office 365 provides redundancy, but that only ensures the availability of the present state of the data. It does not back up the data to protect against data loss events.
Appliance Backup and Restore Device or Service
We have vendor options that allow devices to be setup in your office that conduct image-based backups that can be mounted as a virtual server in minutes in the event of a disaster.
We can also run your server from the Cloud in a disaster situation.
Important Considerations
We do not apply a one vendor solution to each client. Every situation is different and we strive to provide our clients with as many options as possable.
File vs Image
Can you live with just backing up local files and paying for having someone reinstall them if needed? File backup can be a lower cost option.
Image backups, while generally more expensive can be mounted in the Cloud or a local device or computer to retrieve a file or operate virtually as if they were the original computer.
Data Retention
Do you need to keep files for a year or forever? What do you need for compliance in your state? Answers to these questions can have a impact on cost.
Time to Recovery
How long will it take to download your cloud-based data when you need it? Time to recovery is an important consideration to keep in mind. Do you need to be up and running in minutes from a system failure? Can your business withstand several days of downtime while your failed system is rebuilt and data restored?
